JOHNSON COUNTY College cuts mill levy
Johnson County Community College trustees gave initial approval Thursday to a budget that keeps tuition steady and trims the college's mill levy. The 0.14-mill reduction could save the owner of the average $240,049 home about $4 in property taxes next year. Taxpayers can weigh in on the 2007-2008 budget at a public hearing at 5 p.m. Aug. 2 at the college, 12345 College Boulevard, Overland Park.
